    Italian Chambers of Commerce

    A non-repayable grant from the Italian Chambers of Commerce for projects combining digital and energy transition. Artificial intelligence is an eligible technology, and so are the consulting and training needed to introduce it.

    What it typically covers

    • Specialist consulting to introduce digital technologies, AI included
    • Staff training on the technologies adopted
    • Technology services and solutions required by the project

    Who it is for

    Established, active SMEs registered with the Italian business register and up to date with the annual chamber fee.

    The requirement people underestimate

    The Selfi 4.0 digital self-assessment from your Chamber of Commerce must be completed before applying — it is often the step that costs companies time.

    Zero-interest loan

    Smart&Start Italia

    Invitalia

    A national scheme run by Invitalia for innovative startups: a zero-interest loan covering a significant share of the investment plan, with no personal guarantees. Applications are open on a rolling basis, with no submission windows.

    What it typically covers

    • Product or platform development, engineering work included
    • Services supporting the launch and growth of the company
    • Equipment, hardware and software needed to operate

    Who it is for

    Innovative startups listed in the dedicated section of the Italian business register, or teams incorporating as one within the required terms.

    The requirement people underestimate

    The business plan is assessed on its merits: technical soundness and economic sustainability matter, not the idea alone.
